At arrival I did a small intake at the nurse's reception and she told me it would take about an hour so I decided to go out for some fresh air because the hospital was a bit too hot for my condition.
While walking up to my car someone stopped and asked me in a bit broken Dutch if I could take him to hospital on the other side of town cause he got a prescription with medication for his ill daughter. Turned out that he had no money to get across town and since it was past 11 pm there were hardly any buses driving that way.
Being a father of 2 and knowing what it feels like to be without any money I felt sympathy for the young man and I decided to bring him to the hospital to get the medication for his daughter.
While driving we spoke about his and my life. He told me that he has been living in The Netherlands for 13 years and that he originally came from the beautiful city of Boedapest, the capitol of Hungary. He is working as a cleaner to provide for his wife and daughter but said he was hardly meeting end as the employment agency is always late with paying and gives a rather small salary for the 3 days of weekly work.
As we drove I prayed a silent prayer what I could do for him and I sensed that work was something he could use help with. So a couple of minutes later he asked me if I knew anything to let him know. If you read this and you of any job availabilities in Haarlem please send me a message or leave a comment!
When we got to the hospital he got the medicine for his daughter and I drove him to his own appartment. Before that I went to the gas station to fill up the tank and I got some extra cash for him and his family. He offered to give me his watch before as I think he was looking for a way to thank but I kindly thanked him as I felt that the Lord wanted me to bless him instead.
When I gave him the money he was really thankful and I pray and hope that God is going to turn his situation around real quick! After getting back to the hospital I got my own prescription for medication and went to the other side of town to get it. Now I'm home, everyone's asleep and I took my medication and I feel so much better...
I really think that the Lord inspired to get out of the house so I could help this young man. All the good things that we do will make a difference troughout history and the lifes of people that we meet and get to be good too.
I hope you're inspired by my little midnight adventure and hope to hear from You :) !
